It is important that teachers must assess and evaluate students' work on a regular basis to determine if a growth in learning is being achieved.

Make yourself aware of ALL of the technology tools available and not just use your favorite.

This course has lead me to identify some areas, like the discussion, that I can make significant improvements to promote student engagement.

I liked the use of the rubrics, they show students what you are looking for on their assignments or projects. The rubric is clear and the standard are clear.  Communicating with the students is key to their success.

The emphasis on communication can't be overstated. Online students have to have clear guidelines so they can participate effectively. Proactively supporting student success will equal a better learning outcome for students.

My take away is that you have to be crystal clear with regard to the rules and expectations of the discussion board.  Good communication with students and instructor is very important.  I also like the rubrics.

I learned that you should survey the students for opinions  on the effectiveness of technology.

There are many things needed to revise course content, one good idea is to use peers to review materials.

A take away from this module is that if your feedback is not meaningful it will not promote improvements from the student.  Your feedback should be specific on how the student can improve while providing encouragement as well.

Making sure you syllabus is clear and complete because it in the foundation of the course!
