As a nursing instructor working with students and understanding that they are the customers has evolved over time. Today, it's important do things you will want everyone to know about and refrain from doing things you don't want anyone to know about. Just as how hospitals focus on "patient first" we as educators have to focus on "student as customer first" and listen to our customers (students) concerns, as every dissatisfied student as a customer will potentially cause negative news about your organization and bring eventual damage.

Understanding the Components of Instructional Technologies seems so simple and yet it is such an important part of supporting the learning and understanding process of technology for the individual with and without disability.

I find an active learning environment like JiTT more stimulating, this approach allows for intentional learner participation. Students who are reluctant to respond individually will do so in a group setting.  Because JiTT fosters collaborative learning environment learners become eager to learn and express what they have already learned. Again, the pre-planning collaboration gives reluctant leaners the chance to pre-plan and explore the learning objectives without fearing the unknown in a group.

Engaging pedagogical models in the classroom demonstrates it's about optimizing the learning abilities of the learner by using different approaches.  

To build cultural competency instructors should first be aware of their implicit and explicit biases before entering a classroom to start teaching.

It is essential to promote autonomy in students by giving them a sense of ownership and encourage their desire to be better at what they do.

Organizational cultures are unique to institutions. However, people are the ones that make up the organizations. If you have people with toxic and negative attitudes the organization will not succeed as it should.

On the other hand if the staff practice postivity and work together and support the same vision the goals of the organization will most certainly thrive and the result will be student success.

Practicing positive attitude is like breathing for me.

My belief is that encouraging class participation will motivate students. Maybe not all the time but most of the time.

As an educator it is extremely important to embrace the EduPreneurial Side of the school. Students are the ADVERTISING VANGUARD OF ANY SCHOOL. This is a huge part of any school system. As a matter of fact all employees should invest in the students' SUCCESS.

As instructors we are here to educate and the students are here to receive education. However, we are learning from the students while they are learning from us. Understanding the students’ habits, attitudes (positive/negative), beliefs and expectations will strengthen and improve our approach to different cultures and norms.

It is important to help students to see themselves as unique individuals. Motivate them by modeling heart intelligence. Show them that you as the educator cares about their possibilities as well as their successes.

Communicate more effectively  and listen attentively.
