It is within our college right now, that we are having issue with retention. I feel that retention efforts need to be everyone's responsibility. We need to further educate all members of our staff in order for them to understand the importance of constant communication in order to better our students and make sure they understand that we are here to support them and help them along their way. Without having some sort of guidelines and communication among our entire faculty/staff, we are failing in our efforts and our retention will further crumble and we will not be helping anybody.

I feel that we need to retain our students to encourage them that we are here for them to help in their journey to find better employment or event just become more educated in the field that they are currently in.

I did notice that a few questions seemed to be a bit different, but it was a form of critical thinking for me, I had to really think and replay before answering those specific questions.

The fear of failure is always going to be there, but it feels so good to me when I can smile at the students attending my class and give them hope of succeeding into a field that they will feel wanted and needed. Letting them know that they will have all the tools they need, they just need to slowly learn how to trust me (their instructor), the team of professionals on staff, their classmates and most importantly themselves.
