Ive no experience with PP but I'm very interested in creating several, at this point.  this lesson gave me great ideas and starting points for PP, I'm looking forward to utilizing my own presentations that are more current and at times relevant to the field now.

Having handouts, tech and other resources ready and planned out show the students you're engaged and there to teach them

Combining the best of the different instructors of my past is not new exactly but not top of mind, great insight

Barriers have to be identified and removed for students to succeed to their fullest potential, barriers will cause students to disengage, fail to meet lesson goals, or fail the course

ongoing formative assessments identify these barriers, which allows the path to be cleared for students

Only relying on a summitive assessment, students can fail to meet goals as formative is more of checks and balances, where are you, how long did it take, where are you going, how much time do you have to get there, are there "options" to advance at a increased rate without missing something. Barriers, all kinds, different for all students, spelling, grammar, the English language, access, materials, tech, mental challenges, physical challenges, mental/physical restrictions, work with students to identify, if you cant on your own, the barriers and how to remove or lessen so students can reach their and the class goals

work with the students to remove barriers, ongoing feedback, ongoing formative assessments, one size does not fit all!!

Utilize technology and support materials in the classroom often, if possible. Write yourself notes, as your teaching as to what did or didn't work, make changes and be adaptive to all learners.   Starting with the end in mind, will allow students to know what they should expect or be expected of them when the lesson or class is complete

A good lesson plan has the objective spelled out and clearly understood by all, the students need to know the expectations before they begin..

  And again, plan plan plan!!!

Plan for running long, coming up short, plan, plan plan  And documentation!! Focus your plan around your students. are they learning, can they show me they've learned, can they teach me 

Plan and plan for changes and compression, have extra or the next lesson ready to go, just in case.  And also be prepared to push back lessons as it may take longer than expected to teach a lesson, be adaptive

As a new CTE instructor, what if comes to mind as much as am I prepared, Im preparing and once I have, I think the what ifs now will go away and show new what ifs.  lol  that's life

I like the different options/choices in icebreakers, setting the stage, and also the info about buddies, we can relate to some students more than others, don't be dedicating too much time on one or a group of students, be available and look for opportunities to engage with students, the quiet ones especially
