One thing I’ve learned is that the coordinator’s most important job is making sure everyone is on the same page from the start. When expectations are clearly explained to both the student and the business, most problems don’t happen later. I’ve seen that simple communication upfront makes the whole experience smoother and helps students take it more seriously.

I learned that helping students figure out their strengths and career interests early really matters.  There are a lot of tools out there to support this. It also reinforced how important soft skills are and that students need to practice them before entering the workplace.
