Activity

I learned how to be patient, accommodating and understanding of students with learning disabilities. I also learned about the different learning disabilities.

Working in groups that are assigned by the instructor can be beneficial for all the group members. They will have a chance to get to know their fellow classmates, share knowledge, and build rapport.

I learned about keeping my students engaged, and minimizing distractions. Also, "floating" about the room as I lecture is a wonderful way to keep the students engaged with you and content. The instructor must speak clearly, smile, maintain eye contact with each student, and learn about the different cultures that find direct eye contact offensive and be sensitive to it.

Understanding the difference between asynchronous and synchronous instruction is crucial to the delivery of the course content. It is also important for the students to participate in both methods for the instructor to get a better understanding of how the students are progressing

Getting to know your students and have them learn about you on the first day through an icebreaker discussion. Respond to questions promptly.

Course management and active participation

It is important to know your students. Conducting an "Icebreaker" exercise can be beneficial, not only for the instructor, but for the students.
