The importance of preparing early and thoroughly was well articulated. I specifically liked the idea of coming to class 30-minutes early to prepare and personally greet the students as they arrive. This sets a professional learning atmosphere.    

The roles of an instructor, model, manage, and motivate resonated with me because each role also apples to leadership. Leaders must set the example by modeling the right behavior; manage the environment and the culture of their organizations; and encourage and inspire those they work with in order to ensure that their team is motivated achieve mission success.
