It is extremely important that you have the processes and tools in place that will provide you the data and that people will USE it. James, You make a great point. We always talk about students disappearing but we never really discuss instructors disappearing. It is problematic. It is important that we make ourselves REALLY "visible" online. Dr. Kelly Wilkinson

Samantha, Don't you think both types communication has their place in online learning? I use synchronous communication for virtual office hours. It is a great tool. Dr. Kelly Wilkinson
