Pulse checks are important to gauge attention, interest and comprehension.

Although passive learning opportunities are needed, the opportunity to create content supporting multiple learner styles with opportunities to engage in a nonthreatening environment is important. 

I teach in the Early Childhood Department and have recently started encouraging students to think outside of the typical question and answer verbal responses by encouraging the use of social media and interactive apps for ticket out discussions. I would love suggestions from others using this format.

This module has helped me to understand that while I am the content expert, the course should be designed with help from the students to gain ownership and feel empowered to be an active member of the course.
