Support should be available for the students in both content and technology.

You can never be too prepared for a lesson.  Plan ahead using differing learning styles, and practice any skills or hands on tasks ahead of time to ensure smooth delivery.

I like the idea of standing at the doorway at the beginning of class and welcoming the students in.  Study guides will help provide students a roadmap of what will be covered.  Some "getting to know you" time will help to ease anxiety and aid students in getting familiar with one another.

Planning and preparation are essential to success in the classroom. It provides the instructor with the confidence to deliver course material effectively.  It also demonstrates professionalism to the students.

Knowledge of subject matter, preparedness, and behaving in a professional manner all help to solidify the instructor as the leader of the class.

It is imperative that students be realistic about online learning and avoid procrastination and other bad habits that will ultimately derail their success

Utilizing different technology factors in a lesson helps to build a personalized feel to the content and helps to reach all types of learners.

We communicate in many ways: expressions, verbally, electronically, etc.  It is important to remember communication etiquette.

It's important to realize and remember that each student learns differently, and each will need to utilize time management and motivational skills.
