Jessica: My first day consisted of 8 students in the AM class 8am to 12pm and 10 students in my PM class 6pm to 10pm. Community College based Anatomy and Physiology. I think for me it was making sure my timing of instructing (Lab, Lecture, and Computer Medical Record) flowed with the curriculum that I was required to teach. Good Luck with your class!

I remember reading research I think from Berkley on Attention span and the advertizements in Media today.

I was pleasantly surprised that adult attention span was 15-18 minutes on the quiz I would assume that we would have a larger time span because we have been able to learn more and would want to learn more if we are in school

Your curriculum and your quiz are questionable with regards to attetion span. In your curriculum You indicated 10-12 minutes but on the quiz the answer was 15-18 minutes. can you please let me know what your answer should be.

study guide review

I am interesting surprised that giving students study reviews will give them an opportunity to perform better on tests. I feel I need to disagree. Our society has moved away from the true meeting of learning. Lets just give students the answers. What happened to studying and group sessions of studing outside the classroom for an exam.

Audience, Behavior, Condition, Degree! Is behavior based on student knowledge or level of eductation given that they choose to apply themselves to. Behavior can be personal or eductional based on level of understanding?

Newbie on the block

I have found this topic to be very interesting. I have always compared myself to this model, and yet I have been able to find new ways for improvement. I am in my first year of instructing and try to find ways to create an environment of focused driven, learning and creativity, and still try to make the students want to learn in a fun way.

Boss involvement in work load

With regards to working and getting support from your supervisor or boss, I would like to ask how one would go about letting your boss know if he/she is actually helping or defeating time management direction? I have found that supervisors do not like to be told they are wrong even if its done in a nice easy approach! CEE has offered several steps to communicate with your supervisor, but where is the research that shows if it works?
