Great awareness Iza. With so much information at the fingertips of every prospective student through the internet and smart phones, our school is already transparent. The role of the admissions professional is to continue that transparency throughout the admissions process. Knowing good open-ended questions to follow up a tuition response is the perfect approach. You can also follow up with the simple question 'Is that what you expected?'. The only responses can be yes or no and at least you know which direction to go with the open-ended question that follows.

So true Monica, the leaders tend to make their way up the channel and often quite quickly. When an individual demonstrated true leadership qualities like those you mention, the organization should take notice as these people can help the organization to grow. Have you seen people within your organization move up the leadership ladder?
So it looks like you're spending a good amount of time focusing on the students' goal to identify the gap in between where they are today and the goal. Great approach! How do you think this approach helps your students?
Great question Kristin! Your students are the expert on their lives and when they can answer a question like the one you present you have the opportunity to show your expertise about your school and how the attributes can benefit that student based on their response. Theia I'm glad you bring up the subject of taking good notes because you never know when that prospective student may be ready to visit the campus even if they didn't in the past. How do your students react when you remember the information they presented in the past?
The practice of doing a recap is such a great tool for delivering a consistent message and for making sure everyone is on the same page. What do you do if you find that you're not on the same page? How do you bring the group back on track?
