I like the layout of the course so far. It deals what the students are thinking and how to deal with all the possible fears and different learners.

I like the play on words with RESPECT. I like fundamentels clearly laid out.

This is right on the money. On timed tests you need to have printed the subject matter so you don't continually change screens.You need to fell comfortable and be able to be free of distraction. Simply silencing the phone is a big deal.

Not a fan of this module. How many people read small online group posts and know if work is plagerized. How many heard people say something many times but never knew where it came from. Obviously if something is flat out copied and pasted it is wrong. I just don't see this as rampant in small classroom environments.

Online classes have a lot of disciplines. Many people will find questions as invasive at times. Ohters will tel you what you want to hear when you can't look them in the eye. A teacher is on a slippery slope until they know the dynamics of the entire classroom.

Participation of all students is crucial. The rubrics give the student the feedback they need. It is a reward for a job well done or a kick in the but for those falling behind.

The age differences are not as much of an issue online then face-to-face or in a classroom. Omce everyone gets aclimated, evertone is on a level playing feild. The internet is not rocket science. 

The module was very well layed out and gave me many ideas that can be applied online or in a classroom setting. The key is what is the value of communication where all answers have to be black and white? 

Online classrooms creates so many problems that need to be understood. Without live chats. You have no idea who is behind the keyboard. We all know student to student interactions is many times sharing and trading answers. There needs to live human interaction to look a person in the eye and know that they know the subject matter. If you are going to test online you need a larger pool of quiz / test questions. One online test leads to print screens being passed around. Essays work great. Different test days for different students. Just like different types of test… >>>

Our course schedule is evvery 18 months. The average cours length is three weeks long. General Math, Electrical calculation formulas does not change. Codes change every three years. Answers are black and white. The biggest thing to keep on top of is the learning types in a given course and the delivery that best fits.
