As a clinical instructor, I typically use intrinsic motivators that provide security for students. However, I think incorporating more extrinsic methods would be useful as well. 

Providing security through support and encouragement can lead to a successful outcome for all your students. 

Emotionally intelligent instructors can better educate and understand their students needs to be successful. We can provide the appropriate support and encouragement each students needs. 

As an Instructor it is of high importance to continue growing intellectually and challenge ourselves to change with the way of the world. There are many ways to develop our intelligence academically, culturally, and artistically. It is important to incorporate all different methods of learning for all students. 

Self motivation plays a huge role in the success of the students we teach at ACC. We as instructors can look into different ways to provide encouragement for our students to lead them to success in the program and in life. How can we discover the driving factor for each of our students? 

This module covers an important topic for healthcare workers and the students we are educating to enter the healthcare field. I have worked in healthcare for some time and I find it useful to have emotional intelligence. Knowing how to handle difficult patients with a sense of calmness and understanding will alleviate what could be a stressful situation. Each student has various learning styles and it is important to use these different styles. Preparing strategies used to teach will greatly help you and your students. 

Students need a sense of comfort that they will be able to reach their goals and attain a certain license/certificate. It is important to make a good first impression on students so they are confident that you can help them achieve their goals. As well as letting them know you are human and creating a connection with the students, such as remembering their names. 

Early and careful planning will help my instructing efforts to effectively teach and stay organized. 

Communication with students is important to know become aware of the type of learner they are. As an instructor, resolving different conflicts is necessary for each student.
