Guidelines for communication or Communication Codes of Conduct help students understand communication rules and consequences for not following the rules.

Without investigating the different communication tools thoroughly, the wrong tool may be selected and the communication process will be hindered. Therefore, the communication process may not be complete and the message may not be delivered or understood completely.

 What I took away from this module was this, being consistent in your course layout will make it easier for students to find the materials they need. Students need to be able to find the information quickly and easily. It will also make editing and updating content easier for you.

"Yes, make sure each message sent conveys the intended message. There are no nonverbal cues in online learning. Therefore, students take what you say literally". I enjoyed this swction, having taken online courses before, I can see where miscommunication can easily happen both from the instructor as well as other learners.

This module taught me that a  pattern of teaching basically characterizes how an instructor provides information to students and how a virtual classroom practice becomes obvious as it is repeated consistently over a period of time. Again this really isn't different from a real life classroom.

 It is essential to make sure the appropriate function is used to meet the instructor's needs and the needs of the students while presenting the content in a format that can be used by the student & instructor

 It will take multiple tools, from your multiple stakeholders, to provide the feedback that you will need to make continuous changes that improve your online course and close the loop!

What I got from this module is that meaningful feedback that is connected to learning objectives, and is specific and provided in an appropriate way can give students information to help them increase their knowledge.

What I took away from this module was the importance of a good detailed syllabus in the efficiency of a quality e learning course.

Stay consitent, students need consitency, keep all modules looking similar
