Have a list of things you need to go over the first day. Make sure your students feel comfortable with you as well as their classmates.

Arriving to your class early gives you the chance to ensure you have no technical difficulties, are fully prepared, and can connect with students.

Students notice how their instructor carries themself and use that as a model for how they can act/ perform in the classroom. Lead by example!
