I think it is of great necessity that Admissions Representatives in the State of Ohio are require to renew their Agents permits every year.
As it pertains to transferability of credits, when asked my answer is, it is up to the receiving Institution.
My plan of action is to be honest, forthright, stay updated on rules, regulations, proactively seek aditional training and do my best to be the very best admissions representative that I can be.
I believe in order to be a sucessful Admissions Representative, the student must come first, full disclosure is the rule and one that an Admission Representative must adhere to at all times. Just tell the truth, do what's best for the student and succes will follow, what is success? Helping to chnage as many lives as we can. As Admissions Representative we are in a great position to truely help improve the quality of the llives of our students and their families for the better. What we do has a dominoe effect. Over the years I have found knowing something about the culture and customs of students from foreign ciountrys to be invaluable in relationship building. It makes them less nervous, makes them feel welcome and it makes them feel like they are important to you and the Institution you represent because you took out time to learn about their homeland. As a rule I stay away from controversial subjects. I don't discuss religeon or politics and I have found this approach to be an invaulable tool as it pertains to conecting with them and trust building.
The knowledge that I have gained in every tutorial I have studied is simply awesome. I have had the prvilage to serve in College Admissions for over 15 years and it is so exciting to learn more and more about what we do and how we can best serve perspective students, enrolled students and the Intitutions that we represent.
The is a facinating topic and I am learning and unlearning so many things as I study this material. I am blown away by the misinformation that I have accepted over the years as being fact, as it pertains to disabilitiees and the challenges that so many in our society have.
Transparency plays a great part in building trust with potential students and the best way to build trust is to just tell the truth.
The training recieved from Max Knowledge is invaluable. There is always something new to learn as it pertains to having the privilage to be in a position to help people achieve their goals, make dreams come true and inprove the quality of life for theselves and their families. We are employed in an industry that has constantly changed over the last 20 years and it's great to have learning tools of this nature available.
