In this module I've learned the importance of reaching out to the student employer to follow up, send surveys, and keep data to assist with making future curriculum decisions.

I've learned the importance of creating workshops, either through indivual sessions or a group setting, to discuss the details of job preparidness such as dressing appropriately, practicing interview skills, resume creation, follow up, asking for the company manual, and how to retain your job.

I've learned that we need to provide specific resources to assist students with creating a resume, as well as cover letter,  and strengthen our career readiness plan.

I've learned that by organizing the tools, materials, and resources which should be a part of the Career Services department, that the institution can provide valuable assistance to the current students, as well as utilizing this service as a means of recruitement for future students. Even though we are a small institution, we've been in need of an established Career Services department for years. Although we have been offering these services upon request, this training will help identify my weak areas and help to strengthen the entire institution's ability to be more successful by making this a priority and acknowleding… >>>
