During this lesson I learned the differences and advances of asynchronous and synchronous. I will try to use more asynchronous lessons in my future teaching to encourage engagement from the students. 

I learned engaging with your students and getting to know them is crucial to building rapport. Doing intros/bios or having an engaging video can help build a relationship between staff and other students. 

I learned you must teach the course and adjust as needed to fit the students learning styles and needs. 

The first time meeting the class is very important. First impressions are crucial for setting the proper tone and environment for students to feel like they are in a safe learning environment. 

I learned that successful instructors ensure ample time for planning their course/ lessons and that it has a major impact on student learning. 

This lesson helped me see what areas I may need improvement in as an instructor. I learned different teaching styles impact the students and their retention.
