In synchronous learning, students are working together at the same time towards a common goal; With asynchronous learning, students work at different paces, completing assignments on their own accord.
I believe teaching a virtual classroom is about really being available for students, and having effect ways of teaching, like learning outcomes, communication and good content delivery.
