Having Reference Ready to Go!!!

Once students have identified their options  they'll want get in touch with each person and ask for their permission to use them .

Remind students to give the reference some background information so they can better answer a potential employer's questions, to confirm how the reference would like to be contacted, and to always be gracious and appreciative. In an ideal world, 

job seekers will want to contact a reference whenever it appears likely that references will be checked, so they can fill them in on any specific details or even ask the reference to… >>>

Understanding that there are so many avenues and resources outside of the traditional ones given.

Also that students may  want to attach a résumé and offer to supply references. Should the student be writing at a friend or colleague's recommendation.

A student counselor needs to understand their skills set and help provide all available alternatives that are currently  helpful when exploring career choices.

The importance for classroom clarity and  instructions  and how that relates to better learning outcomes.

I learned that coordinated and planning are essential to avoid confusion and have things run must better with the right 

communication, and being consistent is a key factor for all involved.

I have learned that a good coordinator must be organized supporting both students and partners to ensure meaningful, safe, and well-structured work-based learning experiences.

Also that Fostering Stakeholder Trust,Building administrative and counseling confidence isn't just about showing spreadsheets; it requires immersive transparency, such as inviting counselors to live job-site visits so they witness student professional growth firsthand.

Employers are many times reluctant to hire students due to liability concerns. I also see the importance  of familiarizing yourself with all the current  laws and policies that are place in order to put students in safe work settings cannot be understated. I like the idea of having a vetting form to serve as a standard, helping ensure students are protected.

WBL coordinator not just placing students at jobs its also in place to make sure students are fully prepared before entering any work-based learning placement.

What I took away from this module is that clear communication of expectations and intended outcomes is critical to success. Also without a good business host a suprervisors job will not be as beneficial.
