It was very interesting learning about the wide variety of test options we have when making tests for our students. Since I have course material already set aside for my course, I have been focusing on the importance of covering that information during lecture and lab so the students are aware that it will be information worth knowing down thel line.

Examples of soft skills are getting along with fellow workers, being on time, and communicating well with workers and customers, clients, and/or patients. If a student does not have the opportunity or is not assisted in developing the needed soft skills for employment success then the instructor and the institution are not preparing the student for career success.

The goal of the Socratic method of inquiry is for students to develop a style of questioning that will enable them to achieve a higher level of understanding and realization through content-related areas of study.

The idea of groupwork sounds like a great way to get students exposed to the many different styles of learning. It will also allow them to see how other students learn and hopefully introduce them to being exposed to a different way of learning.

motivation is very important not only for the students but for the instructors as well. I have learned that by keeping the students engaged and motivated, we are able to harness that energy and re circulate it back into the class

mid term assesments help the students stay engaged and can help boost their confidence when they start listing off and recognizing what has been learned up to this point. Recharging sounds like an excellent idea and boost for confidence

I will be starting the class off with a story or experience from my time in the field, or ask a student to share one of their moments, as a way to ease into the class. The session will start as soon as the bell rings, however I am hoping that getting used to a little story or real life experience that will tie into the lesson plan will help to keep them engaged.

I learned that it is beneficial to teach to the strengths that our students have. If we are able to notice and acknolwedge those needs we can tailor our teaching in a way that will allow us to reach more of our stuends based off of the individual needs.

Having a road map or guide to the class will help alleviate any nervous energy about how we might be feeling that first day. Having a refernce sheet with our important topics on it will allow us to maintain a speed and delivery option that is beneficial to our students.

It is important to remember that we set the tone for the class as well as the day. I will be engaging and welcoming to my students on the first day to make sure they feel welcomed. I also like the idea of using a checklist to make sure that everything is discussed and nothing left out.
