About me

I've been a career educator for over 20 years. I currently serve as the Academic Coordinator for Brookstone College of Business and continue to be active in the classroom as a Business Instructor. My motto is "A student doesn't care how much you know, until they know how much you care." I was honored to receive the Career College Association National Teacher of the Year award in 2001. I just love teaching!

Hi Erin, Absolutely! Students need to and want to know how the information will be applied on the job. Patricia Scales
Hi Jill, Wow, you give double coverage, thorough syallbus/brief syllabus along with an additional handout. You really go above and beyond for your students. I fully understand why your students are so appreciative. You want to see them succeed. Patricia Scales
Hi Edna, Super! Students get it when they have written instructions, and they get to practice through hands-on. Students tend to understand better by doing. Patricia Scales
Hi Linda, Awesome! This is real learning at its best. These are the types of things students will encounter on the job. What a great way to add change to the class as well. Patricia Scales
Hi Melissa, I concur! Students need role models, they have enough buddies. We need to lead by example! Patricia Scales
