About me

I've been a career educator for over 20 years. I currently serve as the Academic Coordinator for Brookstone College of Business and continue to be active in the classroom as a Business Instructor. My motto is "A student doesn't care how much you know, until they know how much you care." I was honored to receive the Career College Association National Teacher of the Year award in 2001. I just love teaching!

Hi Paul, Awesome way to reinforce what has been taught! Patricia Scales
Hi Joe, Love it, and I especailly love how you guide your students. This is certainly critical/analytical learning at its best. Patricia Scales
Hi Michael, Awesome! What a nice and effective way to get away from the same old written exam. This assignment really allows the students to think critically and analytically. Patricia Scales
Hi Tanya, Absolutely! We must do our due diligence as an instructor to ensure the environment is conducive for effective learning to take place. Patricia Scales
Hi Dawnyell, I love it! Sometimes we have to help students see/understand that it is really their fault. Patricia Scales
Hi Jeffrey, You are right! Try being even stricter, tell them late assignments are not accepted. You really get from students what you expect. Raise the bar high and make them elevate to it. Patricia Scales
Hi Jose, I concur! Just as we have expectations of our students, our students have expectations of us! We must lead by example. Patricia Scales
Hi Jerrod, Awesome! Students have a better appreciation when they relate the assignment to real world. Patricia Scales
