Activity

David, Good plan for coping with the different issues that come up in teaching a class. You need to be flexible and able to adapt your instruction to the current setting. All kinds of things come up that take us out of our plan and we need to be able to change directions quickly and keep the course moving forward. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
David, Hope your observation went well. Observing other instructors is a great way to expand your ideas about how to run a class and deliver content. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Michelle, Great news to hear. There is so valuing going on with the students. Nice and supportive learning environments reflect on the attitudes of the students and the school they are attending. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Michelle, What are some of the ways that it does so? Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Kathryn, Without direction it makes for a long course for both the students and the instructor. No body has any idea of what is going on. Talk about frustration and confusion. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Pauline, Just as without a map a person doesn't know what route to take and what the destination is the same applies for a course. Clear goals and objectives gets everyone off to a clear and good start and results in more effective learning. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Brian, So true. That is a hole that is very hard to dig out of throughout the rest of the course. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Jared, I really like the way you are approaching the sharing of your content and resources. You are showing to both the students and faculty that you have something of value to offer, even if some don't see it right away. In addition you have incorporated some fun things into the learning process so they will know what your library and library website has to offer. Keep up the good work. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Kathryn, Like your list. All of these methods will help to expand your professional expertise and effectiveness in teaching. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Victor, You make a good point about how to refine your instructional skills. Both strategies you mention will be helpful to you and your professional development. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
