I have been reminded that there are various forms of VR, and a headset is not always needed. I want to use some of the other immersive, non-headset versions of VR in my teaching.

I enjoyed the discussion on trauma-informed schools. There are times when teachers can be solely focused on the behavior rather than what may be causing it.

Ask a person who finds it difficult to ask for help; what I learned most is the importance of community partnership and having a mentor to succeed as a CTE instructor. 

One of the most important things I've learned is how essential boundaries are for the learning environment in the class and how effective boundaries can be while being a role model to students.

I found this particular model extremely helpful. I was a substitute teacher for a year and would have greatly benefitted from all of the valuable resources made available to us as part of this community.  When I took over the program, I was not able to access the curriculum map or lesson plans which meant that I had to figure out a way to create a whole new curriculum!  It has taken me many years to create a new program of studies, but I have always felt rushed.  I am coming away from this experience with a deeper appreciation for… >>>

I gain an understanding of the 2018 ACTE quality framework. I plan to use all twelve elements of the Program of Study framework. The element I find to be very useful is element five: Engaging Instruction.  Applying this element will improve the learning environment for the students.

Using it to help with lesson plans and doing things that save me time as a teacher.

This area I am going to follow - out of mine and most of my fellow teachers comfort zones.
