This module reframed leadership as service to the profession, not just authority in my district. It pointed to channels I haven't used much--professional organizations like ACTE, the ACTE Fellowship, and CTSOs as leadership avenues for both students and advisors.
What I'll take from it: treating service beyond my district as part of the job, not extra. So I want to formalize involvement with a professional organization and look at where CTSOs fit my METT pathways. A well-run CTSO strengthens classroom learning and gives my teachers their own leadership channel.
The takeaway is that advancing in CTE means advancing the field (through credentials, service, and building leadership in others, not just running my own programs well).
