One of the challenges that I face is how to engage the class. I try very hard to get down to their level and pull them into whatever activity that I’m doing. I think one of the most important things that this section touched on was the combination of both types of motivation. You use a reward (extrinsic) to bridge the gap to real high quality motivation (intrinsic). I noticed that I would be a person that suffered from both “get it done right now as soon as it is given to you” and “I’ll do it later.” Being a person that walks between both worlds I know how hard it is to manage your time.
