This module describes some of the characteristics of synchronous and asynchronous instruction/learning. Benefits and limitations of each were explained. Asynchronous learning has increased education accessibility because it does not demand a specific hourly agenda. 

This module elaborates more thoroughly on concepts and ingredients in online learning. The module describes the functions of various digital tools for student engagement and course organization. 

This module covered instructional system design definitions and introductory information about achieving student engagement by incorporating media strategies in the course design. 

This module introduced concepts about online learning management systems and incorporating on-site materials into online learning platforms. Discussions and assessments in online courses were also summarized. 

The module explained that most traditional learning activities can be accomplished in an online environment.

I found the statistics of schools offering online education to be interesting. The module also summarized components of learner-centered course design and intellectual interaction. 

This module emphasizes the importance of continuous improvement. This is true in course development as well as most processes in most realms.
