I teach and lecture young adults mostly from the millennium generation on an almost daily basis and I've noticed a change. My colleagues and I have noticed a lack of investment when lecturing to this generation compared to other generations we've seen, they seem preoccupied. After lecturing I'm constantly asking myself if I'm getting through to this generation of young people. 	<div class="river_content_display"><p>You are so very right. I too bring industry professionals in through a non-profit org I belong too but it's been really tough getting the students to actually go to these events. 

So tough that I have resorted to making the students go as part of their project grade. I've also given it out as extra credit if they go. 

I'm now getting a few to actually go to these events and the students that do go seem to come back with a positive view on their chosen profession. 	<div class="river_content_display">In my classes and in my opinion I see a new generation of students acting like they're owed something. I especially see this when it comes to a projects due date. They also seem to think everything they do is worth an A grade. My question is how do you get students to take their responsibility more seriously and what is an A grade worth? I'm not saying all students act this way but it is in my opinion that a good majority of them are like this.</div>					<!-- </p> -->
