I learned a lot from the section of the course, it covered some difficult topics but provided us with some great ideas how we can do things differently and improve our dealing with certain students.

Good information to truly be engaged with your students, and also be approachable were they feel like they can ask you about anything they maybe struggling with.

Varying your teaching style is helpful to your students, and learning which style benefits your students the most can make you a better instructor.

It is important to learn about each student and their prior knowledge of the subject material.

Having a good plan for each class is very important. Having a list of specific goals for each class meeting is helpful to stay on track, but also allow some flexibility in your plan so time can be taken to assist students that may be struggling with the material being covered. 

Leading by example is so important some of which I was unknowingly doing in my class room, but now I think about it I know it is something that can be improved in my teaching style to better help my students to be successful.

Technology in the class room is a great way to reach our students, and to help better bring our students into the learning process.

A good plan is very important to help the students to succeed, and I now see how important a good plan is to assure you students are learning all they should be. Also, a good plan can help keep the course on track and prevent stress when things don't go as planned.

I've have a better understanding of the assessment process, it's so much more than passing test or quizzes about an topic. I've had some assessments already in my courses but really didn't realize how I could really incorporate then into my courses. The improved understanding of assessments will greatly improve me as an instructor to assure my student are mastering the skills and knowledge needed to be successful in there chosen field.
