There are a number of unique ways to deal with disruptive students during class. It's a matter of properly engaging them and finding a method will be cause them to be more engaged without taking away from the remainder of the students in the class, 

Set a very clear understanding as to how the class will proceed. Set deadlines, explain what is expected of the students, how assignments will be handled, grading procedures and especially what you are looking for from the students themselves. It's also a good idea to have the interact as a team as well as collaborating on projects but most importantly establish the "Golden Rule" and let them know you are the arbitrator of the classroom. 

You need to pay attention to timing as well as how you deliver information. Get ahead of how your students are receptive what your doing and change your format to create the most impact possible. Develop a rapport between you and your classroom in order to get a feel for how much as well as how to deliver varying materials during your classes. 

 It shows that preparing for the first class not only benefits the instructor but also the students. I makes them more open to the course materials and the path they will be taking with those materials to achieve their goals. 

I learned that planning and listing what is needed for an effective class day is important. Allowing myself to keep the class on pace and ensure that needed information is conveyed. Also learned that taking in the students perspective can have a positive impact on how the students learn in the class. 

I've learned that you need to have a professional plan in order to become successful in the classroom. The module highlighted major areas to focus your training on and how to recognize what you need to work on.
