1. My course is provided to me on an online platform and we are beholden to very strict guidelines in terms of what can be presented and shared (virtually nothing). We can't even embed videos, we can only provide web links with disclaimers. Students are measured on specific outcomes and no extra credit can be earned.

2. My course only lasts five weeks which allows virtually no time to acquaint students with the classroom orientation and assignment requirements. Finding time to implement blogs, microblogging, or any other social media platform is incredibly daunting and virtually impractical given our timeline.

3. Due to the accelearated nature of our classes, student demographic, etc. encouraging students to participate in something that they would perceive to be "extra work" is nearly an insurmountable task. Currently my students do not even want to participate in the weekly assignment review (a half hour which walks them through each assignment) because they think its "too much time". I am just not sure how I could garner any participation--even if I was really excited about it.

If there are any suggestions for how I could implement even a small bit of what I've learned in EL 110, I would appreciate the suggestions!
</metadata>

</metadata>
