From this module, I learned that autonomy is an important component of motivation because it allows students to take ownership of their learning and become more independent and confident. From this module, I learned seven ways to enhance students’ sense of security during instruction. These include providing security when asking questions, using the Think-Pair-Share technique to avoid intimidating students when responding in front of others, allowing adequate wait time for students to think before answering, creating a safe and respectful environment during discussions and classroom activities, providing clear instructions and directions, and giving effective and constructive feedback.
