About me

I agree. We are also a vocational school that works mainly with students with disabilities.  Small classes and visual instruction are key.

Marketing is key.  A budget should be set and considered an important factor.  Many times marketing falls on one person and is not effective due to the minimum exposures that 1 person can generale

I agree.  I am also a baby boomer and most communication in the past was conducted either in person or by phone.  With the ease of email, it has reduced reliance on these other methods of communication, but may not be the best method to use depending on the recipient.

We work with students who have autism and other developmental disabilities.  Many times it's common to address all questions to the parents. I always look at the student when I'm asking a question or they are speaking to me, so that parents do not try to always answer for them.

I find the list of documents and where to find them for the Resource Notebook most helpful.  This will enable me to gather all the information needed to serve our students.

Do you find it more efficient to keep paper files or use an electronci system? We currently maintain both, but are moving toward an electronic system more and more.

We have found recently that one of the more effective tools in marketing is billboards on main highways.
