Activity

As I meet the class for the first time, I plan to introduce myself, share my background, and create an environment where students feel genuinely welcomed. I want to learn who they are, hear their goals, and most importantly, learn their names to begin building meaningful connections from day one. I will dress professionally and set up the classroom in a way that feels organized and inviting, establishing the tone of respect, engagement, and professionalism that will carry throughout the course.

What really stood out to me is how much smoother teaching feels when the planning is intentional. I have  realized that having clear objectives not only helps students understand the “why,” but it also keeps me focused and confident going into each class. I also learned how important it is to think ahead about where students might struggle and to build in small checks for understanding so I can adjust on the spot.

Moving forward, I want to be more deliberate with backward planning, starting with what I want students to walk away with and building the lesson from there.… >>>

Developing as a model instructor requires  balancing teaching expertise, subject knowledge and constant growth to meet diverse learner need. A model teacher go further than lecturing by implementing varied, research based methods. as an example collaborative or problem based learning and by facilitating a discussion where the students reflect, restate and share best practices.
