It's important to look at the big picture and get everyone on the same page about sharing solutions.  It is also important to respect everyone's ideas and opinions and be open minded to them.

It is important to be aware of the generation the student fits into in order to customize your approach to them, but not to "box" them into that category as they may fit into other generation's thinking as well.
