Social media can be a great resource to working with students but as admissions reps, the information must be kept accurate to students. Saying no is for the safety of one's job and institution. 

It is important to understand the rules and regulations for your own role as well as why you are not allowed to participate in another's role (Admin to FA). These rules and regulations build on not just the Florida's ideologies but extend to the expectations of different accrediting organizations as well. 

It is important to be transparent with students about the program and program requirements. If they are given misleading information, it not only reflects poorly on the institution but also leads to breaking policies and regulations that could result in fines. In my role, I need to ensure that I am practicing Full Discloser practices by explaining everything I can to do the student and being open to answer even more if they have questions.

It is important to delivery up-to-date and accurate information that abides by FL state policies and laws.

While it can be tedious to stay up to date, making sure to have a list of resources and people to go to is helpful in ensuring that I know who to talk to and where I can go for more pertinent information.

It's important to learn how things are before just repeating what others have said, or even getting information from the students as well about their experience in courses. I should also learn about the courses first hand and be open to seeing how my organization is advertising as well as making sure those ads abide by correct regulations.

Having rules and regulations help to ensure a fair treatment of all applicants and the institution's expectations for them and their enrollment. This also offers guidelines and structure for employees to follow to aid in their positions.

I plan to learn the steps inside and out to ensure that all students are considered with an equal standard and that they know what that standard is.

Are presentations limited to English for speakers of other languages, especially in cases where parents or family of applicant are attending the information system? The main focus is on accuracy of presented information and FTC policies for the educational institution as well as the necessity of portraying the individual policies and practices accurately.

I have learned that for Florida, they take education and FTC standards quite highly. This is a great way to check educational standards on the state level to ensure fairness and honesty for students. As a representative in Florida it becomes my responsibility to ensure I am upholding the standards for the applicants.
