About me
Sharon Cooper-Jones is an Allied Health Instructor for Everest Institute located in Southfield, Michigan. In this position, she educates Medical Assistant and Patient Care Technician Students by providing practical, clinical and administrative skills used in the workplace using theory and hands on training. Sharon has over twenty years of experience in the medical field as an Emergency Medical Technician, Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician and Home Health Aide. She is also a Retired, United States Army Veteran.
Sharon is one of the first Patient Care Technician Graduates from the Detroit Medical Center’s Patient Focused Care Program. She was awarded her original certificate in 1996. Ms. Cooper-Jones has worked in several service disciplines across the Detroit Medical Center and Karmanos Cancer Institute.
Sharon received a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Health Services Administration from Davenport University. Colorado Technical University awarded her a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice.
