About me

I've been a career educator for over 20 years. I currently serve as the Academic Coordinator for Brookstone College of Business and continue to be active in the classroom as a Business Instructor. My motto is "A student doesn't care how much you know, until they know how much you care." I was honored to receive the Career College Association National Teacher of the Year award in 2001. I just love teaching!

Hi Kizzy, Absolutely, students learn differently. You can even give a quick online learning style test to your students on Day 1 to determine how they best learn. Patricia Scales
Hi Chris, Graduates are the absolute best guest speakers. They have sat in the same chairs as your current students. They can speak about their experience at your educational institution. Patricia Scales
Hi Michelle, Students will focus when the instructor makes the course material interesting and exciting. Patricia Scales
Hi Glenn, I concur! Students know exactly what is expected of them having been shown an example. Patricia Scales

Hi Joseph, Listening is key! Listen more and talk less. You can learn so much more by listening. Sometimes our students just need to be heard. Patricia Scales
