About me

I have been a pharmacy technician for 20 years and an instructor for 10. I have experience as a line technician in major health centers and tertiary institutions. I have mangement expereince for an inpatient technican crew of 50 that serviced a major trauma center, ICUs and 400 beds. Recently, I have been gaining more expereince in the industry's side of research and development of new therapries and pharmaceuticals. It has been very exciting connecting these expereinces and bringing them to the classroom.

I utilize Beat the Clock based on Power Point Lecture Objectives at the end of the lecture. The team that answers the defines the most ojectives in a given time frame win. This encourages my students to pay closer attention during lecture and the the winners get "goodies" from the price box that is full of Halloween candy,

Medical Terminology

I typically pair them with a outgoing student. The lack of participation usually comes from shy students. When their partner is not shy and outspoken enough for the two of them. This gives the shy student the confidence to participate without being the most noticible student.
