It is incredibly important to build positive relationships with students and to be aware of and understanding of the possible issues that students may have going on in their personal lives. 

Having a good mentor and support system is very important, as well as good administration. 

It is very important to create boundaries and rules and stick to them. Always remember that students are not your peers and should not be treated as such. 

Learning about how CTE is meant to be and how it can help students learn and grow and get ready for postsecondary schooling or work was really interesting.
