It was possible to understand how Blogs could be used a an instructional tool to build community, mentoring collaboration so students may live both from the heart and from the brain. Many activities were discussed including commentary, central point for videos pictures etc, and tools for social advocacy. means for assessment were presented to help in assuring relevancy & recent research.

This section provided knowledge about  micro blogging. Topics included hashtags and inquiry based learning. useful tools such as Nurph and Edmodo were offered as places where educators could create student only controls of sharing. In addition three ways to provide content helped illustrate other non professor content possibilities.

This topic provided useful activities and socIal media sites that could be used for creating hosting and sharing platforms. Two of these were Wiki and blogs. In addition there was information on rubrics and other forms of assessment that could determine assessment of the mastery of what was learned and therefore provide outcomes data in line with the University mission.

Many tools were provided that demonstrated the possibilities of using social media. In addition, the presentation showed how engaging the use of social media can be. Great guide lines were presented for faculty and students. Finally the impact on learning was illustrated by using the application of Blooms Taxonomy.

Robert Gagne provides a guide as how to apply learning in the classroom with activators, supporters enhancers, and maintainers.

I found this section generally addressed the brains function and related their research to using different forms of engagement that would address the researched based information about how the brain works. This supports the use of games and a variety of styles of delivery.

This section offered Knowles Andragogy where students have a say in their learning. This perspective is taken one step further with Carl Rodgers in Experiencial Learning. Both of these pioneers support the need for strong participatory engagement in the classroom.

I found that the synergy of the three theorists Erickson Levinson and Havighurst all brought clarity to human development in their own unique perspective

The data with % is very helpful to show learning trends. I liked the section on long term memory and career related motivation. In addition it is useful to know the barriers to learning for successful teaching and engagement.
