I think that with any class, the instructor must remain fluid in their teaching.  Change is a way of life in the education world, and we must be able to adapt quicly to the changes.  In the Online world, we need to keep track of the changes.

I like the idea of giving consistent feedback to online assignments.  It's more important in the online world because you cannot give praise or comments face to face.

The more you plan the less overload you will experience...professionally and personally.

Balancing an online teaching workload and F2F workload can be daunting if you  are not extremely organized.  

I am a high school teacher taking this course while going through the virus.  Many of my students have said that one thing they have learned is time management skills.  Procrastination put many students behind in posting assignments in the beginning, and now they have become better time managers.  Many are posting assignments the same day they are assigned.

As the last of the Baby Boomer generation, I sometime struggle with technology.  I find that many students have much more expertise that I do.  Many times in class I have one of the students demostrate how the new program works.  They enjoy teaching it-  I could do the same thing in an onine discussion allowing one of the students demonstrate the technology.

Online citizenship is important in an online course because students need to be taught the proper communication methods for respondind to emails.  I liked that this course emphasizes the fact that Texting language is very different than email language, and the two should be seperate.

I thought it was interesting that it takes 10-20 hours of prep time for 1 hour of onine teaching.  That is about the same as F2F classroom learning.  I also like the idea that students need to be motivate and excellent time managers to take an onine course.

Rubrics clearly set goals and expectations in the class and in the online environment.  I use them in every class I teach....it sets high expectations for the students, and sets the standard for every student.

i think it wa interesting reading about the different Generations and how they accept/don't accept tehnology.  I am the last of the Baby boomer generation, and get fustrated with texting.
