I have really appreciated the 'practicalities' of the courses I have done thus far. I found ED106 to be more challenging, largely because I have not had a lot of experience with 'official' learning disability students, although have obviously had quite a few 'unofficial' ones. I feel that I will be a lot more aware of learning disabilities now and will be able to be more pro active regarding these students.

Study Guides or No Study Guides

I go back and forth with this one (not with the same class!) Some students seem to want it all handed to them on a plate and then I resist the study guides but really work hard at making sure they UNDERSTAND everything, and encourage them to 'branch out' in their critical thinking.
