First Day on the Job

Remember the first day on the job jitters. Thats the feeling some of the students have comeing to class the first day & others feel exactly the opposite so it's our position to let them know our expections of them reguardless of there knowledge level or comfort level. We are the instructor to come to in time of need also the instructor to set things straight when miss conceptions are brought up. But most of of all we are human and to let them know we are all in this together so don't be afraid to ask questions or let… >>>

Breaking the ice.

The first day is the time to set the scene for learning.Let the student know that instructor's are there for them and not against them.Be firm in a positive way.

Last minute substition, do you have the bases covered?

When stepping in as a substitute you don't always have the pleasure of being prepared in the conventional sense but by knowing your comfort zones and being on target with the information you keep the student inguaged with the lesson that you present.
