Getting employees involved in work problem solving can make people feel the positive effects of their contribution. However, it takes a skilled and patient facilitator to get beyond the belly aching and negativity that can be generated.

My son accepted a restocking job at a local electronics company warehouse when he had just graduated college. I am extremely frustrated with the lack of sonography professionals in the higher management capacity of Diagnostic Medical Sonography programs. Many individuals have radiology and or education degrees. While most of them earnestly attempt to do what is best, many have no idea how labor intensive and critical thinking essential this imaging profession is. I am no longer in hospital sonography management because of this. When I hear managers above sonography program directors say, oh it is just like X-ray or radiography, my reply is,"walk a mile in our shoes". It isn't as though they are poor managers.
