Absolutely fascinating...use many of these precepts in my work.

I think some of the channels are dated and as technology moves smaller applications are being swamped by larger more dominant brands, eg Google.

Yea I agree the small group idea works well as does partnership.  I have had good success with students pairing up for presentations where they can split the workload and lean on each other's strengths.

I agree.  It's not enough that we work as professionals in the industry for students to appreciate professionalism.  This must be embraced in the classroom in every way we interact along with good guidance to help prepare them for careers in the professional world.  Now I make an effort to emphasize some professional conduct application in every class.  So far they seem to appreciate that.

I've changed my approach thanks to this course.  Now I include at least one partnership or team communication project in my course.  This has been received very well by the students.

I love the use of active learning.  I try to ensure that in every class there is some form of group hands-on participation. This makes learning fun and improves student communication through collaboration.

We need to accept that the way we teach is changing based on real world demands.  I like to embrace technology where and when I can such as employing research on a question via the web as soon as a question comes up rather than just giving the answer.  When my students interact in this manner the information stays with them thanks to their own method of discovery.
