About me
I'm a lifelong learner. I am currently a Principal at Kramrick Education Consultants, LLC. I earned my doctorate in adult and continuing education at National-Louis University in 2011. My research interest is in understanding mentor and protege relationships among adult black males. I've authored a book based on my research entitled, Now I Can Dream: Adult Black Males and the Mentors That Saved Them (2012). I have recently come to embrace the value of online learning and the diverse population of learners that it serves. I am a former Director of Private and Out of State Postsecondary Education with the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) and have held numerous assignments in postsecondary education, both public and private.
Several months ago, I read an article by Grant Wiggins entitled, "Feedback: How Learning Occurs." (2010). In the article, Wiggins surmised that, "Feedback is value-neutral help on worthy tasks. it describes what the learner did and did not do in relation to her goals. it is actionable information, and it empowers the student to make intelligent adjustments when she applies it to her next attempt to perform."
