Keeping students engaged in the course is imperative. Laying out various teaching methods and creating different projects will help keep them engaged and retain the necessary information. 

From the very start of the class it is important to acknowledge every  student by name. Also, the instructor should give some background on his/her self and ask the students on their background and why they want to be a part of the profession that they chose. 

Be well prepared. Arrive early to get things in order. Keep a notepad/checklist handy 

We never stop learning. We need to definitely be comfortable with the subject that we are instructing and lead by example. Take full control of our classrooms and show confidence in what were teaching. 

Unfortunately some students may get disruptive to the point that it disrupts the learning of the other students. Keeping these types of disruptions is imperative and this is done by following the policy/procedure conduct manuals.   

It is imperative to keep students engaged. Active learning via discusion boards, creative power points etc. can help keep students interested and more focused. 

It is important to build professional relationships with students and to keep in mind that some students may have special needs and may need to be accomodated. 

CMS is the engine that I will utilzie to ensure I give adequate knowledge to all of my students. Learning and staying familiar with all avenues of the CMS will enable me to continue being the best instructor I can be.
